After 11 days state sponsored torture depriving an innocent woman of water...and food

She finally found her voice?

Better late than never but why now?

Better late than never but why now?

Because she's trapped in a plane with a load of journalists and there was no way to avoid it. I don't blame her at all for not speaking out. Whatever she says, someone will cut her off at the knees without waiting to hear what she has to say.

This past week has been the saddest of my life watching my fellow Freepers eat each other alive, and watching them turn on those who stood for Terri long before they knew she existed.

This quote is the equivalent of an over the shoulder remark. As she leaves the country for something "more important", she makes a weak statement in support of legislation.

She is not the president. It is not her job to go out there and make statements to press conferences. That is her husband's job. The media just interviewed her, not in a press conference, but on a plane, on the way to a strictly scheduled, security controlled trip to another nation.

You act like she sits around the White House just waiting to gather reporters together to tell them her latest opinion.

If the President of the Country felt like it would have been proper to have her words known to the public on this issue, it would have happened. Fortunately he is President, and a man, and Laura makes no laws, signs no bills, so it was none of our business. When she decided to make it known, and was able, she did.

Everyone that tries to help and is on Terri's side, is somehow suspect. As if they are doing something wrong.

I.....just don't get it.
