The Congress didn't order a specific decision, what they ordered was a review of the evidence by the courts. The courts decided not to do that.

Now, the bill that was passed and signed into law by the President ordered them to do that. Therefore, the judges BROKE the law.

The Congress didn't order a specific decision, what they ordered was a review of the evidence by the courts.

No, they ordered a de novo review of "any claim of a violation of any right of Theresa Marie Schiavo." The parents filed stating several claims, which were reviewed de novo and dismissed under current law. The court was not ordered to review all evidence from the beginning or start this multi-year process all over again in the federal courts.
