DESDEMONA
O, banish me, my lord, but kill me not!
OTHELLO

DESDEMONA
Kill me to-morrow: let me live to-night!
OTHELLO
Nay, if you strive--
DESDEMONA
But half an hour!
OTHELLO
Being done, there is no pause.
DESDEMONA
But while I say one prayer!
OTHELLO
It is too late.
And with the criminal investigations that have been terminated one wonders whether the "husband" indeed strangled her, though not from jealousy.
Certainly Greer et al. were determined and in the end did snuff out the light. This conclusion is as horrible.
Time to strengthen our resolve and not let this dark deed go unrevealed, unpunished, uncorrected: the obfuscation about PVS, the monies, the changes in law to accomodate interested parties, the mockery of a trial, the presumption of judicial powers unlawful, executive inaction -- in sum a web of entangling lies. The question is not whether a crime has been committed, but how many and how many were complicit in deed or by inaction. These deeds must see the light. We must take heart from the words of Emilia:
"'Twill out, 'twill out! I, peace?
No, I will speak as liberal as the north:
Let heaven and men and devils, let them all,
All, all, cry shame against me, yet I'll speak."
