Ole Mikey whisked her off without telling her folks to California for some kind of "experimental treatment" that isn't really anything I know much about. This treatment included putting some kind of shunt in her head that is platinum. The docs there recommended pulling it out, but, dontchaknow, he never did that for some reason. And, yet, having the shunt(s--more than 1?) prevented an MRI from being done. Now isn't that just such a shame? Who would have thought?
I need a drink.
Thanks for your post. I've been following the codeblueblog. It's been scathing. They reviewed her discharge summary from the first hospital. A few days after her accident her CT scan was normal. One taken a month later was normal. Then suddenly we see the CT scan that's been published around the world with the tip of a VP shunt in her ventricles. Now why do you have to shunt someone? Normal pressure hydrocephalus (unlikely) or trauma with intracranial bleeding another real possibility. So it's possible she received trauma while in the hospital and needed an emergency shunt or that wasn't even Terri's CT scan. The implications of why would he leave in those thalamic stimulator clips when he was told to have them removed is chilling and I join you in taking a stiff drink.
