Jeb has no guts, no courage. This is what happens when you elect someone from a blueblood background of wealth and privilege. They have no fire in the belly, no gumption, and no willingness to take risks. Because Jeb matured in a safe, pampered environment, he felt no reason to do anything that might rock the boat. This passiveness and inaction which stems from privilege helped cost Terri Schiavo her life.

This also describes many who not raised in privilege so that's not it.

All this criticism of Jeb Bush is crap. No hospital would expose itself to more lawsuits without legal clearance even if Terri were brought to them.

Enough of this stupidity. Taking her into custody wouldn't have saved her.

Please.
Show me one person in power who doesn't have wealth and privilege? Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Greens - they all have the same goal: enriching themselves and wielding power.

And welcome to FR.

I have to disagreee. I believe he did all he could WITHIN THE CONFINES OF FLORIDA LAW. That was the problem. Could he have rushed the Hospice, called in the guard, taken her out? Sure. But would he have been arrested like all the rest? Would his position to take care of the rest of the citizens that live in Florida been in danger? OF course!

It angers me as much as all the rest - but we have to - as conservatives - stick together on this. We cannot turn on ourselves, even though we do not like the outcome. We have to ban together now, more than ever, to make sure this NEVER happens again.

I know it is very easy for us to feel the hurt and anger - and look to place the blame. But in this case, the blame was clearly on the spouse, the judicial system, and and those who did not attempt to lift a finger. President Bush and his brother did more, than I daresay any others would have done.

But that is only my opinion. God Bless you, Terri! JK

"Jeb has no guts, no courage." Okay loudmouth and I mean loudmouth. Why don't you get in there and raise some Hell about the activist judges and start promoting the Constitution of the United States of America. Terri's situation is going on with a lot of other people. Write your elected legislators and demand they give Governor Bush the horsepower he needs to get this job done. We, you and me run the country because you and I vote. We have the right to demand that the elected legislature do what the constitution says. Remember this loudmouth you can get mad at me though that won't do you any good. Write and call your Representative and Senators.

I heard Jeb yesterday and spoke incoherently. He was spaced out.

This [Jeb's] passiveness and inaction which stem from privilege helped cost Terri Schiavo her life.

Exactly.
