Thank you, cyn. I knew I could count on you for some good analysis and perspective on this case. Helps me to see through the fog of The NYT opinion disguised as news. I hope his 'cooperation' with the DOJ gave them something with which to dig a little deeper and follow a trail.
His pleading guilty shows this was NOT 'just a mistake' because he was 'tired'. You don't lose security clearance and pay a $100K fine if that's all it was.
