I wondered about that too - however - she was only 26 when she was struck down - and most people that age [especially if they don't have children] don't think about life insurance.

Having worked in an insurance agency - there is no LEGAL way to take out an insurance policy on someone without their knowledge and consent. Terri would have been required to sign the policy.

So .. with all the other under the table things going on with the husband - I don't think I'd be surprised if he tried to pull something - but I hope some insurance people will confirm what I've said.

A friend of mine wanted to take out a policy on someone she had worked for because he had cheated her out of a lot of money. Her thought was that if anything happened to him - then this would be a way for her to recoup her loss. The guy refused to have the physical exam - so she never could get him covered.

Since Terri could not have passed an insurance physical - and could not have even given her oral consent or sign her name .. I don't think the husband could get a policy on her.

I still contend money was not and is not the motive .. keeping her quiet was the motive.
