Michael Will Hide Where Terri Schiavo is Buried From Family

Pinellas Park, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Michael Schiavo plans to keep the location of where he will bury Terri Schiavo's ashes a secret and will prevent Terri's family from knowing. His brother told the media on Thursday that Terri's family would show up and cause a spectacle if they found out.

"If Mike knew they would come in peace, he would have no problem with it," Scott Schiavo, Michael Schiavo's brother, told AP.

A complete autopsy will be performed on Terri's body by the local county medical examiner's office. Once that is completed, Michael plans to have Terri's body cremated and her ashes buried in Pennsylvania.

Scott told the Associated Press the ashes will be buried in a burial plot left to Michael by an aunt and uncle.

"We've already said goodbye," Bobby Schindler said when asked about not knowing where his sister would be buried.

Concerning Michael's latest decision snubbing his family, Bobby said, "He's been doing this kind of stuff for 15 years. What would make him stop now?"

Terri's parents fought for years to stop the cremate, citing Terri's Catholic religious beliefs, and asked Judge George Greer to allow Terri to be buried in Florida, closer to her family. Greer declined both requests.

Terri's parents and her family did not discuss the burial issue during their remarks to the media following Terri's death. However, Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who has been helping the family during the last two weeks, said they would hold a Catholic mass for Terri even though they will not have her body present.

The mass will take place sometime next week.

A spokesman for the Pinellas County medical examiner's office said Terri's body would be given to Michael on Friday for the cremation process to begin.

The autopsy on Terri's body may yield a preliminary look in two to three days but the office will not have final results for two to three weeks.

They would make her burial site a spectacle. They did this to themselves.

When you write, "they", who do you mean?

I don't know about BS, but there have been conflicting reports.

"Funeral homes aren't places where people die, but I'll answer your question anyway. I haven't heard rap music but I have heard lots of loud laughter at wakes. And how about those New Orleans funerals with the trumpets and all?"

Would they play jazz music in a hospital ICU? Somehow I don't think so, but I know it's difficult to think outside the box sometimes.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you...I was working and then came down with this awful flu. It has been reported by more than one source that one of the reasons Shiavo wants Terri dead is his 'fiancee' is catholic and wants to be married in the catholic church. He needed Terri to die in order for this to happen.

"Put up a direct quote from them saying that she was PVS before you continue any further."

It's in the trial transcripts as noted by the GAL Wolfson.

"Throughout this painful and difficult trial, the family acknowledged that Theresa was in a diagnosed persistent vegetative state."

That quote is thoroughly loaded - it isn't a direct quote of a family member saying, "Terri is PVS". It's secondhand. Furthermore, it could be that they are mere acknowledging some doctors diagnosed her as PVS.

In short, that's loaded with sophistry, dishonesty and mendacity.

In addition, not all doctors agree with the diagnosis. And as such if the family believed the PVS diagnosis, they certainly had legitimate cause to change their minds.

Finally, there is absolutely no justification whatsoever for starving to death the disabled. And nothing you say will ever make it right.

She was disabled, not terminally ill or injured. You people disgust me for supporting the elimination of the weak. This is the same philosophy that drove the Nazi policy of "Dasein Ohne Leben", and the killing of the insane and handicapped.

What Ivan said. Ditto.

It isn't in the trial testimony by the parents? He's making it up?

Yes, some doctors disagreed with the PVS diognosis and their testimony is suspect. Dr. Hammesfahr doesn't get much respect in the medical community. He's claims of a Nobel nominee is shaky if not outright fraud. In court testimony he couldn't back up his claims of success.

"And nothing you say will ever make it right."

Tis not my intent to make it one way or the other.

Sophistry. I said it was loaded. And I pointed out interpretations which made it so.

It's not just him. Nice try to tar all those who said it's a suspect diagnosis with the same brush.

Tis not my intent to make it one way or the other.

Rubbish. You're pro-death and scrambling for a justification to have starved Terri to death. What part of "it's immoral" don't you understand.

Vengence is probably the most refractory to change emotion and drive there is. This blood feud will extend to the third generation.

Yes, when justice is not done, blood will demand blood.

I think Terri's family will at least be happy that they will have the ex-husband out of their lives forever now.

That is the only good thing that came out of this for them.

Yeah, it's almost laughable to be more concerned about putting panties on a terrorist prisoner's head than about starving Terri. We call good evil and evil good. More to come!

It took a lot of guts to do what this husband did for his wife. He stayed married to her when it would have been much easier to give the responsibility of her care to her parents, who challenged his right to make decisions for her. Guts?? Terri Schiavo's "estranged husband" relinquished his rights to be her legal guardian under Florida law when he became involved with other women ... had the "estranged husband" turned her over to her parents -- which he was offered $1 million to do -- she would have been examined by physicians that would attempt to rehabilitate her, then she could either 'write' or 'say' what actually happened to her that night. Not only did he refuse to turn her over ... the "estranged husband" destroyed the body so it could not be examined by experts. the "estranged husband" clearly had something to hide, had he not he would have divorced her and went on with his life.
