"I don't blame him for that decision. Since Terri's private situation was whipped up by the Schindlers into a "cause celebre", her burial place would become a pilgrimage site if it were known. One of Terri's Schindler relatives said yesterday that she's now in a better place and at peace; If only that person would have helped convince the Schindlers to let her go Home many years ago!"

I would suggest that a fund be set up and private property be bought for a Terri Schiavo public memorial. It should be erected in a location approved by her parents and her brother and sister. How many here, including myself and many people I know, would support this?..Pat Boone has said she can be compared to Joan of Arc..Perhaps he would help us with such a memorial..
Even if Michael Schiavo just throws her ashes away somewhere, he cannot still her spirit, for her legacy is growing with each passing day..

Good idea. Is there any vacant property next to Greer's place?

It's so sad. Both sides can't put aside their differences even now that Mrs. Schiavo is dead. They can't agree on the form of autopsy...and they also can't agree on the funeral or burial.

I have a hard time with this sort of thing. My family is not the most functional in the world, but when a crisis develops or a tragedy ensues, we have always managed to work together and comfort and support one another. Where there are differences, we have been able to settle them amicably. Such bitterness and hostility in this matter is foreign to me.

I just wish somewhere along the line, some judge would have locked the Schindlers and Mr. Schiavo in a room (without attorneys) and made them stay there until they worked this all out. If that had been done, maybe all of this rancor and bitterness would have been avoided. Mrs. Schiavo's life was turned into a soap opera, and even her death is now a circus.
