Terri Schiavo Cremated Amid Family Feud

Saturday, April 02, 2005

TAMPA, Fla.  Terri Schiavo's body was cremated Saturday as disagreements continued between her husband and her parents, who were unable to have their own independent expert observe her autopsy.

The cremation was carried out according to a court order issued Tuesday establishing that Michael Schiavo () had the right to make such decisions, said his lawyer, George Felos. He said plans for burying her ashes in Pennsylvania, where she grew up, had not yet been completed.

Terri Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, had wanted to bury their daughter in Pinellas County so they could visit her grave.

Terri Schiavo, 41, died Thursday after the removal of the feeding tube that had kept her alive since 1990, when she suffered brain damage that court-appointed doctors determined had placed her in a persistent vegetative state (). Her parents had fought in court to keep her alive, disputing the doctors' opinions and saying there was hope of improvement.

Does not take that long.

It took 8 days before we could bury my grandaughters after they died in a fire. Quite a bit longer than 48 hours.

I wonder if the autopsy will confirm the medical opinions that Terri never suffered a heart attack.

Greer has sealed the results.

Her medical records bare out that it is likely she had an eating disorder. It fits what we know... the electrolyte problems, potassium problem, massive weight loss, bruising, heart problem... What do you have to say she *didn't* have an eating disorder

None of that has ever been proved!

The sad part is what we did to her

We????

The sad part really is that this case received days of wall to wall coverage and there are many people dying in Iraq supporting the US military who die without any mention at all.

Not gone. This is why they did an autopsy. They have everything on film, discs, etc now."

I remember congress wanted to look at Vince Fosters x-rays. The medical examiner told them his x-ray machine was broke that day so there are none. True story.

If Michael was so intent on strictly "following the wishes" of Terri in order to starve her to death, then how can he cremate a good Catholic like Terri? Cremation is against Catholic teachings. Surely Terri would have preferred burial.

Plenty of people seem to think Jeb was in on the "fix" as well.

=======

Jeb may not have personally been in on the "fix"... however... with all the vast criminal activities underlying the brazen attempted murder of Terri (e.g., transferring her to the six month maximum hospice, a care facility for dying people, and then holding her there for FIVE YEARS while sticking it to Medicare for her care, is grossly illegal) !!!

Jeb could have easily and lawfully began a criminal investigation... and therefore could have lawfully taken Terri into protective custody... but Nooooooooooo... that would have been the lawful, decent, humane and constitutional thing to do... precisely what Jeb Bush should have done... but Noooooooooo... the gutless coward chose to allow Terri to be MURDERED by judicial oligarchy

I doubt his/her wish will come true. What is really awful is that an innocent woman was starved to death in Florida.

Michael Schiavo has such a careless temper bound personality that must be baby sat by his lawyers 24/7. As far as his attorney's are concerned in this case...he is disposable, and he will slip up again on his own time with something else. He reminds me of useless lotto winners from nowhere who hit the jackpot and are bankrupt the next month with no friends and family. Remember, this is a guy who can't hold a job down or talk to the press w/o implicating himself in some way. He's nothing but a Jeff Giloolly loser who must go into hiding after screwing up again and again.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I can not imagine how heartbreaking that must have been. This is the post I was refering to.

The cremations I know of took at least two weeks or more for return of the body.

I said nothing about 48 hours.

Congratulations on moving. I hope you've found your new state better than Florida.

I've never lived in Florida; I'm happy to hear the views of those who have. Maybe Florida is just experiencing a bad streak. California is worse, but then, we have come to expect such things from California.

Glad to see you agree with me!

It's a bit tough being on the vangaurd, but someone has to be there!

When you get down, remember how the people who could foresee what Hitler's government was up to were chided and despised.

Until it happen. So, good for you. Hang in there!
