The meaning of the olive is unclear.
They are good in martinis and sometimes on pizza.

That settles it. The next pope is Cardinal Martini, and since he is 78 years old, his reign will be a short one.

What if the new Pope chooses the name Peter?

Iran tests out their first nuke on Rome? (/speculation)

This has only been posted about 100 times already, and should have been posted in the "Religion" section ALL of those times, and NOT in "News/Current Events".

He predicted that the Pope would NOT die having been healed by the prayers of some secret religious society.

Our email was down.
Oops.

I believe the Olive Tree is also representative of Israel, which is why a lot of people are looking at Cardinal Lustiger, who is a converted Jew. He is also 79 yrs old, so he would probably have a short reign.

BTW, what time will the rotation cease?

I don't know about the rotation ... of the earth? I hear a lot about polar shifts coming in about 2010 or before in varying degrees. Then the big event in 2012, whatever that is!

Noory seems to think that 2012 will be a change for good in the earth. I dunno ... I just like to listen to the different theories and predictions.

We have been told that we will not know the hour, that means that any prophesy is meaningless because it depends on humans to interpret them. There is no reason to believe that it would be a straight line.

These prophecies are garbage. Is FR turning into conspiracy central? This is the eighth or ninth posting of these silly prognostications.

No .. but it seems like some have turned into grumpy old men

Chill .. there's nothing wrong with talking about this

The Incas predicted the end of the earth on Dec. 23, 2012.

It was a problem with the date tables in their software.

There is when otherwise intelligent people believe it just because it's got a saint's name tacked to it.

It's superstitious nonsense that dovetails with all that "endtimes" foolishness that is infecting certain segments of Protestantism.

Your statement implies you know of alternative interpretations.
I repeat: Are you sincerely asking that question?? If you are--which I cannot believe, may I suggest [just for starters] that you tune into the History Channel when they have a special on Nostradamus? Several scholars, including mulitple Nostradamus advocates, appear. And, I repeat, Google Nostradamus. I won't do it for you-- his prophecies are nothing to me, so I don't keep notes nor do I have a copy of his prophecies.

Some incidental will be found so that he can be shoehorned into the "Olive" paradigm.

To link John XXIII to mariners because he served a city that has canals is silly.

oh, that's right -he had the world ending in 1996--never mind---

I thought the Quatraines of Nostradamus held prophecies up until the year 3000. If so, either Nostradamus was wrong or St. Malachy was. Ain't no way the lives of 2 Popes can span 995 years.
