Still a lot of them are correct.
Well, they're correct if you consider that they all have multiple possible interpretations, and one person interprets them this way, another interprets them that way, and yet a third, another way. Whatever-- I disregard them completely.

Well known pious fraud.

Catholic Encyclopedia (2/3 down page) :
They were first published by Arnold de Wyon, and ever since there has been much discussion as to whether they are genuine predictions of St. Malachy or forgeries. The silence of 400 years on the part of so many learned authors who had written about the popes, and the silence of St. Bernard especially, who wrote the "Life of St. Malachy", is a strong argument against their authenticity, but it is not conclusive if we adopt Cucherat's theory that they were hidden in the Archives during those 400 years.

Here's hoping for a couple brief reigns. Something a lot more like JP1 than JP2.

What are the odds?

Given the past track record of 'end of the world' prophets - not good.

Are you serious? Do a Google [for starters] and find out for yourself.

If the prophecy holds true..An Italian or other "Olive" associated states. Olive colored skin? Possibly the baptized name Oliver? The son of an Olive Producer.

The Son of an Olive Producer seems likely, as he would be in his fathers "Glory"
The same with an Olive State...the Glory of the Olives...such as PJPII was of poland,

Father Wingate was on the Art Bell show just before the Pope Died. He predicted that the Pope would NOT die having been healed by the prayers of some secret religious society. He said the pope would go into exile after the healing.

I wonder what Pope he was talking about

True, true. Besides, the point of predictions is not to say the end is near but to prevent the end from happening. I guess the Mayans thought that if they could stick around until 2012 they could save the world or sth. Meh.

The 111th prophecy is "Gloria Olivae" (The Glory of the Olive).

That cinches it, the next Pope will be Bill Clinton.

The meaning of the olive is unclear.

They are good in martinis and sometimes on pizza.
