The rats missed their big chance when they handed their chair to how-wierd dean. They should have made David Spade their chair. He is now making a living out of saying "NO" on those commercials. He COULD be saying "NO" for the evil donkey and they could save on his salary. He could be a $1.00 a year guy and live off the ad spots.

The "they haven't had a chance to explain what they are about" schtick is so tiresome. Remember John Kerry needing to "introduce himself to voters" after months of fawning media coverage? I think the voters do know the Democrats. I guess the message from voters to the party is "we're just not that into you." And in cases like Terri Schiavo, I think the more voters get to know what the Democrats do (or don't) stand for, the better for Republicans and conservatives. This "they haven't had the opportunity to explain" complaint is the offshoot, I think, of that arrogant tendency to assume that the intelligent people are Democrats and liberals. If we aren't for the liberals/Democrats, we're either uninformed or dumb (or knuckle draggers, or rednecks, or bigoted religious zealots, or whatever).

LOL. Grace, I think you nailed it. Please, please let them "get their message out." Enough will run screaming to keep them out of power (I hope).

If the Republicans hold all the cards and the Democrats are on the run, why haven't any of President Bush's judicial nominees been voted on?

You are correct, we, the Conservatives are supposed to be the dumb ones. Yet, over at DU, they are still analyzing the exit polls from the 2004 election. Guess what? Kerry won!

Is that dumb or what? LOL!

"There's NO reason to be afraid of the Democrats any more."

Maybe not Democrats on their own, but the colation between Democrats and "moderate" Republicans is truly frightening.

Here in Virginia, the Republicans are firmly in control of the legislature, yet virtually all laws proposed by conservatives were swatted down by the Senate. Conservatives got basically nothing that they wanted. Perhaps a centrist might say that they should not have gotten what they wanted, but it definitely seemed to me that liberals have nothing to fear from conservatives in Virginia.

It's a Zogby poll - Rush is talking about it now.

The question was regarding a disabled person - and 79% said food and water SHOULD NOT be taken away.

If you search for Zogby - you should find the articles here on FR.
