Ultimately, I agree that Michael is the bad guy here. However, I would strongly urge you to go to World Net Daily's website and read the articles pertaining to the links recently discovered between Judge Greer, Michael's attorney, the County Sheriff (who helped get Judge Greer elected), the doctor who diagnosed Terri's PVS, a Florida Congressman, and on and on... You'll be surprised to hear how many of the key players in Terri's case sat on the board of the hospice Terri was admitted to, as well as the connections these men have to the Hemlock Society (a pro-euthanasia group). And what would you say to George Felos donating $250,000 to Judge Greer's campaign while he was presiding over Terri's case? What would say to the fact that four other attorneys who represented Michael Shiavo at one time or another also donated at least $250,000 a piece to Judge Greer's campaign? To me, it is becoming increasing clear why Greer discounted testimony contrary to Michael's contentions, threw out the only GAL report that did not favor Michael Shiavo, did not allow further testing, and ordered that attorney's fees and even burial costs could be withdrawn from Terri's fund. Seems to me like Felos just slid those attorney's fees right back over to Greer's campaign. The corruption runs so thick in that county you need a chainsaw to cut through it. I am furious, and have vowed that I will send e-mails to Jeb Bush, all FL congressman, Tom Delay, and our President every day until these men to called to accountability. I urge anyone who is as appalled as I am about this, to do the same. We can't let this go. Public pressure got the U.S. congress to intervene in this case. So, then I will do what I can to keep American's eyes focused on Florida.

With regard to whether this should have been heard by a jury:
I don't know what the law is in Florida, but where I come from, matters like this are started by a petition of some sort. Petitions and motions are generally heard by a judge -- they are non-jury. Also, again, where I come from, in most other civil cases, you have the OPTION to request a trial by jury -- you don't have to have one.
As to "revenge" against the judge or judges involved -- Revenge is a bad thing. I agree with those who say it would be better to try to have the law changed. As far as I can tell, most of the judges involved in this whole mess ruled according to the law in place.
However, I fear that this whole circus will cause a major split between the factions of government -- so much so, that any attempts to change the law at the legislative and/or executive level will be struck down by the judiciary. Sadly, the losers in this upcoming pissing match will be us -- the citizenry.

Do you have the URL for this - I didn't find it on WorldNet - but I did find the whole saga of Terri's struggle on their site - and have copy.pasted to my computer - and also printed it out as it will be off the radar soon
thehttp://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=43463
This is worth printing out and filing - disseminating, etc.
WE allow this to become "old news" at our peril
