#2---I got told by a few posters on the other thread re: the judiciary committee meeting that NO ONE voted against the recess,,,glad to know that I was right---
I don't mind being wrong, as much as remembering something like that, and being told over and over that I am wrong, I start really worrying about my memory and when you get to my age, it can be a joking matter, but...
at my age, it can be a serious matter, so I am glad I didn't drive myself nuts yesterday evening for nothing...lol
BTW, I went to bed and listened to Sen. Lincoln's speech and she is really, really upset about a little girl that was kidnapped by her Saudi father and taken to Saudi Arabia in 1997 and the mother, an American hasn't been able to get her or see her except once I think---
She says she wrote Bush a letter before he met with the king at the Crawford Ranch last sunday, to see if he (Bush) would try to do something about this and similar situations...
I gather that he didn't, because that is why she put a hold on Rep. Portman's nomination for US Trade Rep.---he was voted in last night on a voice vote...
Senate back in session Monday, May 9 at 2:00 Pm edt
Sen. Frist will be going to the Middle East next week, will meet with the Israelis and the Abbas, will also go to Lebanon---
