How does this balance out with education, health care and public assistance though?

In Los Angeles, the money they contribute to Social Security is more than spent in free medical care, free education for their children, and the destruction of the environment. They have clogged our freeways, crowded our hospitals, schools, and prisons. They have been a blight on our culture and way of life.

Pure BS. The vast majority of illegals don't pay into Social Security. The government services the receive, medical and education for their dependents, far outweigh anything they pay in.

In California, illegals cost the state at least 6 billion dollars a year.

Why is there no mention of the almost daily $20,000 medical-helicopter flights every time one of these idiots trys to outrun lawenforcement?

Completely wrong, false! IF they pay any S.S. taxes, the $ go into the US Treasury. As do all "revenue$".

Since its illegal to hire them, many are paid "under the table." That means, no social security, income tax withholding, etc.

Do you know what that means, boys and girls?

I knew you did.

Illegal immigration, Marcelo Suárez-Orozco, co-director of immigration studies at New York University, noted sardonically, could provide "the fastest way to shore up the long-term finances of Social Security."

I think the same thing could be accomplished using legal immigration, if it were deemed necessary.

Last year, Mr. Martínez paid about $2,000 toward Social Security and $450 for Medicare through payroll taxes withheld from his wages.

So how did the SSA get that? They got it when his employer sent W-2 earnings data to Washington. HINT: Washington knows who hires (as W-2 employees) ILLEGAL aliens.

And, YES Mr. Martínez will get credit for his SS contributions -- if he becomes legal and gets a valid SSN. His contributions are in the Earnings Suspense File. It is not unusual for the SSA to transfer the earning data to a valid SSN once an ILLEGAL becomes legal. Imagine the work load when the millions become "guest workers."

Left out of the NYT's employee's article is the fact that SSA sends out app. 130,000 employer "no match" letters to employers who submit earnings data on ten or more employees. HINT: Washington knows who hires (as W-2 employees) ILLEGAL aliens.

Hint: we don't need another shiny new law for government and business to ignore.

Every illegal I know is paid in cash; No taxes taken out.

They don't want to become citizens because then their earnings will be taxed just like us.

FLAMING MEXICAN BULL S**T!!! For every criminal illegal alien who actually pay the obligatory payroll taxes, there are a thousand who don't. Yet, in years to come, every one of them and a million who never worked inthe US will claim benefits based on those alleged earnings. That's what all the names and fake IDs are for. Every one of these criminals, including the ones in jail, will claim that they worked but their gringo employer didn't pay the taxes, thereby, depriving them of benefits.

There will be an endless administrative claim for billions in benefits and some liberal pimp will decide that the right thing to do is accept the word of the criminal and pay the multi-billions in benefits. Pedro isn't just mowing lawns for the $5.00 an hour, he wants a USD pension when he gets paroled and goes home!

Will this become the new line GW uses to push for amnesty for illegals? We need them to support Social Security?

His 'they're doing the work Americans won't do' line is getting old and dated.

Unsaid is if there is an amnesty and the illegals become legal, they are also eligible for social security. The system's unfunded liabilities then go WAY up. Not that the NYT has thought about this.

If the President supports giving them legal work status, we should support him in doing so. He knows what is best for the country. I disagreed with him in the beginning, but we don't need to split on issues to let the Demon-Crats take any offices. I support my President, period.

In the southwest, we have a water shortage and our roads are a disaster due to the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens vehicles using them daily. No, they don't cost much.

Hmmmm.....How do you pay into SS if you don't have a SS#? How often did "Juan" work for cash because he is illegal?

Sorry folks, but this is absolute B.S.

I was a construction foreman for 30 years. I would have guys like this show up, give me a false SS# then move on when payroll found out it didn't match. Whoever researched this is blowin smoke up our butts.

Ping! to the Viking Kitty Patrol.
