DRUDGE REPORT: Clinton: Pope 'May Have Mixed Legacy'
Drudge Report ^ | WED APRIL 06, 2005 | Matt Drudge

En route to Rome, Clinton told reporters the pope “centralized authority in the papacy again and enforced a very conservative theological doctrine. There will be debates about that. The number of Catholics increased by 250 million on his watch. But the numbers of priests didn't. He's like all of us - he may have a mixed legacy.”

Clinton was also asked about his first flight aboard Air Force One since the end of his presidency: “I never thought I'd be on this plane again - I had a good time. They have turkey burgers too, which they didn't have when I was here. If they'd been serving me turkey burgers, I might not have heart surgery.”

Right, Willy, the Pope was a lot like you! Sure!

A smart person once told me, "Criminals always accuse others of the very things they themselves are guilty of."

After 2 thousand years, I think it's time for the Vatican to change. They just have to get with the times! How about some dance music at mass instead of those dreary organs? Can Britney Spears and Madonna be Priests? Let's ask the UN what they think.

Clinton is legacy-obsessed.

For men like John Paul II, a legacy just happens.

They could always serve beer in church. That'll bring in a crowd.

It is called "projection". Common among sociopaths.

Good Grief ! This guy was the POTUS. He could have had whale burgers on AF1 if he decreed it.

Slick Willy's projecting again... His legacy is going to be 9/11 and Monicagate. John Paul's legacy (with Reagan and Thatcher) is a free Eastern Europe and the demise of the Soviet Union.

Ol' Willie-Bill is right. All of us have a mixed legacy. He did sign the bill to "end welfare as we know it", which did cause a major reduction in the number of "Diswilling" who were plainly able to be working."

... The Impeached One only signed the bill after Newt shoved it in front of his face three times.

Perhaps, as President, Clintscum could have requested that turkey burgers be served. Of course he had a taste for things greasy and bovine. Please, Mr. Clintscum, don't blame AF-1 cooks for your heart problems, or your diseased soul.

I am frankly stunned. I can see Hillary making a mistake like this, because she is politically tone-deaf at times. But Bill is supposed to be the greatest politician that ever politicianned.

This is an incredibly stupid thing to say when there are tens of thousands of new Catholic voters every year.

Yes, a beer and pretzels Eucharist might draw a few more to the pews on Sunday.

I think I just hit "pukedom"!

But, I'm from MA. I can Take alot.
Someone else pointed out on an earlier thread that
Fat head Ted and "J" F..ink will likely be seated in the "Apostates" section.

I am quite sure that the Pope saved The Slickster a seat with them.
If they had any brains ( naaahhhh... that will NEVER happen)
