The digital age has finally arrived in Canadian politics. Canadian Bloggers have captured attention of the Main Stream Media (MSM) and Internet political junkies worldwide.
This item appeared in the BBC online. I think at this point in time it's safe to say that Conservative bloggers: Angry in the Great White North, Small Dead Animals and Stephen Taylor have had a significant and measurable impact on this election campaign.
The Blogging Tories have been working hard to convince the blogosphere of their position and no doubt, they have a part in the current wave of Conservative support.
For years, tax weary British Columbians have travelled to sales tax free Alberta to buy various products. The BC government has taken the unprecedented step in pressuring Costco to reveal the names of BC customers who shop in their Alberta stores.
The Oracle of Ottawa knows what it takes. Flattery!
Al-Quada VS Iraqi insurgents. Oh, goodness. Who to root for?
Eugene Parks shows up on the Shotgun and collects more evidence about my and Stephen Taylor's shared business interests. -=| Insert joke here |=-
Iraq? Why isn't this election about which leaders would send troops to Iran? Cause, we might just have to - providing we don't wake up one of these mornings to a big shiny sea of glass.
As Tabin points out, the revolution is taking place with thanks to American blogger Ed Morrissey of Captain's Quarters, who single-handedly helped blow the lid off the Canadian liberals' culture of corruption.
All eyes will be on the Canadian blogosphere today as election events unfold. Stay tuned to these:

Michelle Malkin is doing a nice job of sending her sizable audience to get the latest in Canadian election coverage.
And while we wait, a thoughtful piece by Pieter Dorsman on the future of the left in Canada.
Update: Kate Axworthy moment: When you're working as a scrutineer at a polling station and some guy rides up in a sled and votes in a full face helmet and gear - and everyone knows who he is - you might be in Saskatchewan.

Advice for Stephen Harper, as my last entry for the Roundtable. "As a conservative on the libertarian side of the ledger, the degree to which speech in Canada has been corralled and controlled by the courts, ever-invasive government institutions and unaccountable "human rights" tribunals is deeply disturbing."

I've managed this post for today, a consideration of the divisions we have in this country, and which ones are legitimate, and which are ones of our own making.
Did I say our own making? I meant Liberal governments' making.
Less than 48 hours have passed; Bush has called, Rock's days are numbered, McKenna makes way for Preston , and we're already handing out guns!
Don't choke on that latte.
Something I heard over radio a few days ago about "voodoo economics" brought to mind this short exerpt of an article by L. Brent Bozell III, written in 1994. I decided to dig it up and republish it here, because it's good, because I feel like it, and because - as I wrote on Monday - some things never change. From "30 years of the Best Of Imprimis".
One can subscribe to the invaluable Imprimis, a publication of Hillsdale College for free. (There's a link off the main page). Hillsdale College was founded by Freewill Baptists in Spring Arbor, Michigan and became the first institution of its kind to prohibit in its charter all discrimination based on race, religion, or sex - in 1850.
Wonder if any of the Libs. in this country are in cahoots?
From the Calgary Herald:Former U.S. vice-president Al Gore has accused the oil industry of financially backing the Tories and their "ultra-conservative leader" to protect its stake in Alberta's lucrative oilsands. Comments (32) :

Why did Canada change course? Here are the answers!
Much has been made of Stephen Harper standing up to the US on the issue of Arctic sovereignty.
Not to take away from Harper's performance, but you do realize it was a test, don't you? And I think Stephen Harper passed.
Lorne Gunter points to media chatter about the number one problem facing Conservatives electorally - the Liberal domination of the nation's cities;
(Read the rest of Gunter's piece here.) It's the favorite leftist pastime to pit one leftist created group against another. The politics of envy.
Gunter is absolutely right. Dave Warren has an interesting view of this phenomenon at http://tinyurl.com/79hrv.

The other interesting thing that I keep noticing is that the "3 Largest" argument is just plain WRONG anyway."
First, it's the CBC admission of a "Heil Harper" cut and paste "error", and now this;
