The only time I ever had to handle a real intruder alert on board USSAFISH was when the identical twin of one of our torpedomen got into the torpedo room. The watch was talking to him, and when he didn't know things he should have known, called the alert.
It turned out OK, because the twin was also a torpedoman, but on a different boat. But it forever made me think twice about eye witness identifications.
Do identical twins have the same fingerprints?
