Feminism and Political Correctness is a cancer to any society.

I didn't realize the show was also on the BBC. If there was a Japanese version of the Apprentice, the fired person would be expected to commit harakiri.

On the recent Trump-based series, I saw a woman named Angie do her strategizing and politicizing, and how it poisoned the entire team - they kept losing. She did not get away with it, she ended up fired, though.

I think this is a very good show.

It's difficult to lead a small group of head-strong people.
and
It's difficult to be in a group which is being led by a less-than-stellar leader.

But in the corporate world, one finds oneself on both ends quite often (at least I have). I think many people just don't grasp the complexities (which is one reason the PC nonsense can creep in). On the show, it's quite easy to see that qualities like stubborness, indecisiveness, poor communication, and childish back-biting are things that kill a project. It's like Betamax vs VHS: having the better idea is a good thing, but better execution usually beats the poorly executed stroke of genius. Sometimes, just knowing how not to self-destruct is the key to success.

Mr Trump, with his extraordinary hair

Yeah, what's up with that? It didn't used to look so lame. Why does he comb it forward? And why did he dye it red?

While I don't disagree that "dynamic men" trump PC feminism (what doesn't, except perhaps in the bedroom, if you can really tell the difference.....) I would point out for objectivity sake that the men's team in the first Apprentice series went down in flames over & over before the teams were mixed out of necessity (too few men left to keep the original format).

One other Made in England version that aired on American television starred Richard Branson [the name of the show escapes me]. On that show the winner was some dorky guy who should have been booted off during the first episode. Runner up was a woman who persevered getting back-stabbed [by a man], climbed the outside of a hot air balloon at 10,000 feet in the air, and generally demonstrated both the intelligence and empathy you would look for in a leader.

Cheers

I watched a couple of episodes to laugh at the contestants. I believe it was last season. It featured an Asian woman who flashed her panties at men on the street for $20 a peek to help raise funds, and a black man who told her privately that he was siding with her against the other guy on the team. They ended up in the Board Room and when the black man saw the tide turning against the Asian woman, he backstabbed her and told Trump that she was dragging down the team. It was pretty funny seeing how slimey they would be for a chance to win.

I am absolutely captivated by the reality TV series 'The Apprentice'.

First lesson in journalism school: don't lose all your credibility in the first eleven words. :-)

I think the blonde Mary Kaye saleswoman is going to win this season. They have to have a woman win this season. Whether it's right or wrong. She's very good.

I don't mean to sound sexist, but I am. ;-)

Women simply shouldn't try to be men, nor do a man's job. They can't.

I have seen the same thing in medicine. Ob-Gyn became an extremely popular specialty for women. Thus the residency programs went from being predominantly male, to nearly exclusively female. The group cohesion amongst the residents vanished, and vituperative mayhem prevailed. They would spend untold hours in meetings together trying to talk their problems through, which only made things worse.
