Torture for ANY animal is unacceptable but so is coyotes living in the inner city in Houston. I have heard from LE that people living near Memorial Park are losing small pets to coyotes.

There are plenty of coyotes living in NW Austin feasting on Fluffy and Spot and anything else that they can find.

I live in the middle of a suburban residential community in the KCMO metro area. We have coyote, bobcat, the occasional puma, barn owls, hawks, the occasional eagle. All top preditors. We've lost two cats. My theory is the barn owl got them and just before each died, she thought, "I can fly." We now have a kitten who is supposed to be 20# when grown. So I'm hoping he can fight off the owls at least. Oh and we have fox and raccoons, also dangerous to small pets.

If a coyote eats a cat can the coyote be charged with cruelty?
