Nope. A quarter of a million dollars.
I don't doubt some of what you say.
However, just as cutting industry likes diamonds because they're tough (never mind electronics liking them), so do jewel connoisseurs. It's pretty nice that your stone is highly unlikely to crack or chip, ever. That makes it highly *desirable* in many circles. High demand can create high prices. All those circles liking diamonds is alot of demand!
"Mostly, though, if you've been having sex for a couple of years, looking forward to the honeymoon doesn't have the same appeal as those of us who waited."
I've wondered about that myself. I'm in the same boat now. Well, he isn't quite, but I am. And believe me, it's been a LONG wait....
My nephew's daughter was just married and the cost for the whole affair was a mere $50,000! Yikes! The best thing was that she won the whole thing on a TV bride and wedding show . It paid for everything including a fabulous dress and an amazing black and red wedding cake and great food. The guests were stunned. Now the happy couple will have to adjust to life in the slower lanes.
Year 15 and happier than ever.
It wasn't a piece of cake, either. It took a lot of work to get this far.
Thank you!
:) You're welcome!
