Why does the ACLU hate the Ten Commandments? Why does the ACLU despise American culture, and are they actually right? These are some of the questions that Americans must answer in the future. Mississippi last week became the latest state to permit the display of the Ten Commandments on public property. This comes as Americans wait for a decision from the Supreme Court on the display of the Ten Commandments. If the Supreme Court rules against them, then the entire debate on the Ten Commandments will have no bearing. However, there are certain reasons that I believe should prompt a Supreme Court decision in favor of the conservative masses.
First, the Ten Commandments are widely accepted by many Americans, not merely Christians. From a religious aspect, the Ten Commandments are words of wisdom not merely for Christians, but also Jews and Muslims. Similar standards exist for other religions. In Mississippi, leaders within the Islamic community said they had no problem with displays of the Ten Commandments on public property, merely acknowledging that they live by these Commandments as well. That is something the liberal interest groups cannot understand. On issues such as this, religions are not even particularly divided. The divide would be a forced one.
However, this case supercedes religion as a whole. It really should focus on American law. When Americas Founders drafted Americas founding documents, many of them issued warnings to the American People. The Founders realized that a democracy could only function, and that a society of the law could only function if the laws were just under a specific moral code. The general moral code chosen by the Founders was the basis of a Judeo-Christian system, but it was not a repressive one. Government could in no way force religion on the people, but it was not illegal to embrace a system. It was Benjamin Franklin, considered by many both a deist and a liberal, who encouraged an opening prayer before Congress.
Looking back, Americas early leaders in determining the law did not merely look at the philosophers of Europe. They also looked to Jesus Christ and God. This look was not evil or vile or unconstitutional. Instead, as Americas legal system picked and chose, it welcomed the moral code encompassed under the Judeo-Christian system. This taught people not to steal, kill, or commit fraud, but it also established moral boundaries. Americas culture was expected to have strength in the family unit, but the system was also not a repressive one. America was not to be a nation focused on forced conversions. That same Judeo-Christian system taught brotherly tolerance toward fellow man, and that war was only just if it was a security necessity and not for conquest.
These legal precedents were inspired by the Christian system. That is not to say that Christ it the only thing endorsed by the American government. However, the teachings of Christ, Moses, and God were prominent features in American law, a law that taught of justice and freedom. For the ACLU and other liberal interest groups to be angered by the display of these teachings, they also must show an open contempt for American law. American law was influenced by these documents, and there simply can be no argument here.
However, the ACLU seems to most enjoy asking the what if questions. What if the Christians were first to look at the teachings of other religions. First, by and large, the teachings of other religions did not influence American law. However, second and most important, Americans are forced to look upon symbols and teachings which they do not believe. The Supreme Court building has been a sight of controversy because it also contains countless references to God and the Ten Commandments. Under the new state statutes, other court buildings can have these symbols as well. That, as I have said previously, is just because these helped establish American law. However, this was not the only establishment of American law. Americans were also influenced by philosophers, but they were also influenced by the Pagan societies of Greece and Rome, societies that promoted the sense of justice and freedom.
Anyone who looks closer at the Supreme Court and many other buildings of courts will also see statues of Greek and Roman Goddesses of justice and other traits, statues that Christians reject. However, how many Christian groups have clamored for the destruction of these buildings and the removal of any Pagan statues? To my knowledge, these groups have not because just like Christian teachings, the ancient teachings of society helped influence the law. Since this is a case about the law, it is imperative that the teachings of Christ, if they have influenced the law of a nation. That is what is fair and just. Sorry, ACLU, but the American Supreme Court should allow the display of the Ten Commandments in public.
GOD: Thou shall not steal.LEFT: From each according to ability and to each according to need.
GOD: Thou shall not kill.
LEFT: It's only a clump of cells. It's my body. She's been dead for fifteen years, would you want to live like that?
GOD: Honor your father and mother
LEFT: "It takes a village to raise a child." "Family is defined by the inner experience of the relationship rather than the structure of the family." "Traditional marriage is enslavement of women and a tool of patriarchical oppression."
GOD: Thou shall not commit adultery.
LEFT: If it feels good, do it! Yeah, baby!
GOD: Thou shall not lie.
LEFT: "It was only about sex"
GOD: I AM The LORD Thy GOD, thou shall have no other gods before me.
LEFT: I am god, and I will worship nothing but myself.
ACLU = THE MOST DANGEROUS ORGANIZATION IN AMERICA!
'cause the ACLU are commies in drag! LMAO
Most of them hate themselves and are miserable, and they want to bring everyone else down to their level, so they're projecting their feelings onto others.
You know, I nearly got through the 2nd paragraph, then stopped when it implied if Muslims say the Ten Commandments are O.K. then maybe the ACLU should consider the issue of their display O.K. Maybe I'm just burned out with these wigs.
Probably because the ACLU despises the American way of life.
Which should come as no surprise, considering the organization was founded by Communists.
GREAT question! Bump!
I fear the ACLU more than Muslim extremists. The extremists actions are usually visible, the ACLU's many times are not.
Interesting how one of the criticims of the "gay marriage" debate is that "we have more important issues to address than banning gay marriage." Funny, I never hear that argument advanced against those running around pulling crosses of of city seals, suing when a prayer goes over a school P.A. system, etc.
Bingo for you. The ACLU hates Christianity with the virulence of an atheist viper. Part of what drives these shysters is a quest for domination and control of public opinion.

======
They are, and have been, a front for Communist activity in America. Our twisted judiciary continues to increase its tolerance and acceptance of the crap, anti-American litigation that these America-haters are bringing before the courts -- and that is perpetuating the ACLU (American Communist Legal Union) -- until this country gets tough on anti-American Communists again, the ACLU, the Progressive Caucus, and all the other bottom-feeders will continue to create trouble for real America.
Excellent question.
I wonder what will happen (or is happening already) when Muslims ask for "prayer rooms" for their kids in US public schools and other accomodations.
I dunno. I was in elementary school 40 years ago. The Catholic kids got out a little early on Mondays for C.E., the Jewish kids had their religious instruction after school and the Protestants had theirs on weekends. Somehow we all survived.
What does anyone expect? They're lawyers, and lawyers exist only to foment discord and division under the guise of civility, and collect obscene fees to boot.
They're like the Easter Seals. Does anyone honestly believe lawyers are only for the common good, that they'll eradicate all the evils of the world, then close shop and go home?
Yeah, right.
I suspect the ACLU is still deeply disturbed by the fact that millions of American's are still armed -- and still regard the ACLU as a legitimate target once "hostilities" commence....
Semper Fi
Pimg to self for later pingout.
The ACLU is the ugly stepchild of Russian jews who fled Czarist Russia to escape forced conscription and the occasional pogrom. Invariably Socialist, they used a selective anti-war qua Marxist philosophy to try and change the culture of the United States so that it would be more to their political tastes. In other words, America was not good enough for them, as it was for most Jews. They soon attracted like-minded indigenous types (e.g. the left Quakers and their American Friends Service Committee), ugly but rich New England spinsters, and Ivy League grads disgruntled that they were not chosen by the toney societies. The ACLU acolytes all had two things in common, both then and now: they were invariably atheist and entirely humorless.
"How come they will not go after CIAR or other Muslim organizations that: Do not allow women to be in charge and prohibit gay's to be in their organization?"
now there you go again being all rational...LOL
you forget, commies and lefties aren't rational they're just anti-American! and anything that is American whether it's language, religion, military, culture, history or custom the lefties and the ACLU are against!
They want America to be like Paris or Beijing! LMAO
Why? Because the ACLU, like most liberals, are a bunch of bullying cowards. They can only "take on" organizations that will follow a "safe" and legal conduct to fight back.
They wouldn't dare go against the muzzies because they will fight back with everything they have. If legal remedies do not force the ACLU to shut up, there are other ways.
I guess the libbies are quite fond on having their heads still atttached to their narrow shoulders and what passes for a spine with these sissies.
