I know I'll get flamed for saying this, but Terri Schiavo was not "killed" or "murdered" or "euthanized". Terri Schiavo was not really living - she was being kept alive by a feeding tube because she could not eat the normal way. I watched my father die 22 years ago after being taken off a respirator that helped him breathe because he could not do so on his own following a massive stroke. He was not "living", in the usual term, but still had to "die". We did not murder him, we did not "euthanize" him, we let Nature or God take her/his course. In my opinion, Terri Schiavo was helped - which should have been done years ago - the same way we helped my father not suffer further. I think Americans who believe Terri Schiavo was done an injustice are wrong. It's hard to understand until you've been there and done it. Just like combat service.

I received this message the morning following the death of Terri Schaivo. Terri died of thirst and dehydration in a hospital in Clearwater, Florida following the removal of her feeding tube. Clearwater is on the West Coast of Florida near St. Petersburg and Tampa.



[Isa. 59:14-19 NKJ] Justice is turned back and righteousness stands afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. So truth fails and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.



Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; and His own righteousness, it sustained Him.



For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

I did not establish earth for man to trample on and destroy, or for a few to turn into their private playground at the expense of everyone else!



I have seen the many tears and I have heard the cries of pain and anguish that ascend from all over the earth. I AM about to answer and I AM going to answer in a very big way.

That very act defined who we are" The only problem I have with this article is the above quote. I did not want her to die the way she did and certainly did not send her to her death. Why do these writers always have to include everyone with the people who do wrong in this country?

In the words of Rep. Delay. She was one of us. Anybody can be next to be abused by the judiciary. It may not be a guardianship case, it may be some other right abused or "redefined" by some judges.

People have NO CONCEPT of how absurd the civil courts are in a day to day scenario. Judges really are free to do whatever they can contort logic to their desired end result.

The Judiciary needs to be reignin into their original function. I personally believe that any other judge would have simply asked what would terri have wanted if she could have been "fully functional" for just 30 minutes and made aware of what was going on. Would she have wanted to stay with her husband in name only? Would she have wanted her mother and father to take care of her? The result would have been different.

That only points out the problem with a judicial branch that is JUDGE DEPENDANT instead of LAW DEPENDANT.

Either way, it will NEVER get better with democrats. Only republicans are in a position to potentially end the black robe fever.

Lots of hyperventilating in this article, but not much else. The author seems to be saying that root problem in the Schiavo case was allowing the court system to resolve the issues in the first place. This, of course, opens up the field to alternative methods of resolving the issues (which are conveniently left unidentified).

Is the author suggesting that the life of Ms. Schiavo should properly have been subjected to a popular vote? And if so, should a thumbs-up/thumbs-down vote of the general populace be resorted to in all end of life decisions?

This seems to be the direction in which those railing against the judicial system are headed, with all the talk about the "will of the populace" and the "tyranny of the judiciary."
