He keeps going on about how people are trying to get in 'his back pockets' and how he can't trust anyone.
Does anyone know what happended?
No, but he is really pissed today!!!!!
Isn't he talking about how he predicted this weeks ago and "see I am right again"?
Not to worry, Rush is getting warmed up.
Quitting for him is not an option ;-)
He must be on a different chemical substance today.
Bah, he's just really on a tear today. He'll forget all about it after he has a good weekend off.
If it ain't woman related, I'd be surprised.
I may leave early today to catch it as it starts at 2PM here
Maybe the golf courses he belongs to just raised their dues.
He said that he has never been so angry in his life as about this thing. Something about some house he used to live at but doesn't anymore.
Maybe some tax thing?
So what is your excuse?
I believe it is just typical "tax time" fury. I know that I have it today.
Rush's personal life just seems to be disastrous. No wonder he's mad
He didn't sound like his typically composed self when he was railing against Shays. He was really pissed.
He'd better not. His brilliant commentary and political analyses has changed politics in this country for sure.
As for personal matters...I have often said, he should find a nice young conservative woman, settle down and have some kids!
I missed about the first minute, but it has to do with taxes in various jurisdictions.
When I turned it on, he was talking about being furious because so many govt entities have their hands in his pocket demanding their cut and claiming that he lives places that he doesn't. He said that he felt like chucking it all and going off to an island somewhere, but he didn't want to get into details of the tax situation.
In the part that I heard, Rush did not mention the govt that claimed that he lives where he doesn't.
New York is the most likely suspect. The state of New York has some rule that, if you work in NY 5 days (I'm pretty sure that it's 5) a year, you must pay NY state tax. If it's NY City, you must pay NY state and city tax pro-rated for your income for the days that you work in NY city as though you lived in NYC those days.
Thus, an engineer, architect, accountant, financial analyst, or attorney who goes to 5 or more days of meetings in NYC in a year must pay taxes for those days. (I'm not sure how they work it if the person is only in the state part of the day.)
From the references he made, my guess is that state of New York (or some NAZI NY bureaucrat) is claiming that he is a resident of New York and needs to pay taxes there.
NY State is trying to nail him for State taxes, even if he doesn't live there.
