To me this guy sounds a bit like an intellectual bore. He doesn't seem appreciate the spice or humor of talk. He seems to like things very tame. I am surprised he didn't have anything to say about Michael Savage.

Well, he probably doesn't want Mr. Savage to savage him on the air. I liked listening to Michael more when he was still on just local radio in San Francisco.

He does not!

Indeed -- a bit of a wuss!

Michael Savage's intellectual prowess and willingness to in-an-instant put all of his human fallibilities on public display stumps both those whose way-lower IQs cause them to lack the ability to know they're in the presence of a vastly-superior intellect AND those who live behind masks [Most Humans, that is] and/or who lack the courage to let the rest of us see who they really are.

Both of which assesments might seem to pretty well match your extraordinarily-accurate take on "this guy!"
