!!! reality check !!!
you know, on the one hand, i'm opposed to excessive taxes,
but on the other hand, my family struggled very hard to save money to buy a farm and to operate it with the county, state and feds taxing us hard. 2 years of every 10 were deficit years.
rush has made $400,000,000 in his career and that he should pay some taxes...well, why not?
And he cannot begin to spend $400,000,000 either. So it gets reinvested in productive enterprises and eventually passed on to personal and institutional heirs to be spent and reinvested, but not before the federal government swallows up its huge "share" to fritter away on inefficient social welfare schemes.
Rush, like all of us, should pay his fair share to support the essential duties of limited government as defined in the Constitution. Beyond that, his private market-informed and market-driven decisions on where to invest the excess does more to keep the nation's economy healthy than any central plan concocted by politicians and bureaucrats in Washington DC.
That's exactly what John Kerry said.
That should worry you. :P
You can stand on your head and they'll insist it's taxable. Breathe, that's taxable too.
I just don't see why he went off on a poor me, I can't take it anymore rant.
So Rush should be punished by paying a larger percentage of taxes than you because he is more successful?
