Rush didn't sound like he was insane or burning out. He is saying he is FED UP with the spinless excuses who are too damned afraid to do what is right. I feel the same way as Rush. He is right. I wonder even if we need any of these people to represent the states anymore. We have the internet and we could get everything we need from there. These people are riding the fat cow and using money they have no right to use in taking all these senseless trips. Rush is right. As for NY...who knows what he is referriing to but he does and it is none of our business if it is personal.

I have been a fan of Rush since the beginning and have always trusted him to the enth degree and he has ALWAYS said what was on his mind and has ALWAYS put the USA first and foremost.

If he is doing some ranting I say "good for him." He is entitled. He's saved the bacon of this country. Without Rush we would be overrun with socialists. He has spoken out when others were afraid. I hope he continues to take off on some of the spinless wonders who get paid so much to do so little. He's right and I know it and so does everyone else.

I for one will stand tall with him until the last breath. He is a good and brilliant man and we are darned lucky to have him there telling us what is really going on and not the venemous lies and fabrications one gets from most of the other shows and the networks.

Rush is the man and always will be.

Without Rush there would be no Republicans in the White House; no Republican majorities in the Senate and House. He is frustrated that his hard work ended up in majority parties of wimps and losers.

"Rush is the man and always will be."

You got it. Like him, I know "plastic bananas" when I see them. Any radio talk show host who thinks they're going to get anywhere in that business bashing Rush is in for a huge surprise.

And that goes double for Savage. He shot himself in the foot a long time ago on MSNBC, and his radio show has been going downhill ever since. He made such a fool of himself that even the nutzo liberal kooks like Soros will never fund him - for fear it would become known - regardless of how much he bashes Rush, Hannity, Mark Levin, et.al., to impress them.

I remember something Hannity said one day on the air about all the phony radio talk show hosts pretending to be conservatives to get an audience and how they don't believe a word they're saying. He said he was thinking of one guy in particular who bashes him all the time on the air, and said that he was in possession of some information on the guy that if he made it public, "the guy would be off the air tomorrow." He said we would all know who he was talking about even if he gave us the slightest hint, which he said he wouldn't do.

I knew right away who "I thought" it was. He doesn't have to give me any hints.

If Rush was the person some of the people in this thread want him to be, and let's throw the name Savage out there, not a soul would take him seriously.

It is precisely because Rush is a loyal committed conservative Republican that doesn't take cheap shots at our guys that HIS words carry weight. Others can idolize commentators that have no loyalty, certainly no restraint. It doesn't alter the point they have little to no influence.

Rush, it cannot be honestly disputed, does.

I agree.

Those weeks when he too off for detox were a nightmare. I was never more ethrilled to hear his voice back on the radio. Anyone that doesn't have the intellectual capacity to understand how essential this man is to the conservative movement cannot be taken seriously.

Politicians come and go. Reagan served his eight years. Bush will serve his eight years. I admire what both contribute but they have time limits. Rush endures so long as he has the Will.

IMO, one of my favorite traits about Rush is that he doesn't follow the pack. He does what he believes is right. People scream at him for defending Terri, so be it. Others wish to fall on their knees and cry about Abu Grabib, he turns it around on everyone and puts it in perspective.

I won't say the conservative movement would die without Rush, I hope it's bigger than one individual, but it would certainly be delivered a hefty setback in the loss of its strongest influential voice.
