If it became law, companies would have to submit an affidavit stating their research findings but would not have to take specific steps if they should find they profited from slavery.

So if the answer is yes, it's all a total waste of time. (I wonder if this new policy also applies to illegals getting below minimum wage...)

No. These grandstanders are not wasting their time. If they can find worthless apologetic White North Carolinians to go along, they will be able to force companies to do research for them, which will later set them up for the next demand! This is about forcing others to do the research for the agitators.

Anyone, White or Black, who votes for something like this should be targeted for defeat on the basis that they are trying to stir up--or willing to stir up--racial antagonism for a political end. I suspect that if the campaign to defeat all such persons were handled right, the overwhelming majority of North Carolinians, of every race, would support replacing the grandstanders.

Of course, it is not my business as an Ohioan--at least not directly. But it is very important to all of us that the people of each State stand up to those who are trying in every way that they can to trash respect for heritage. They have been picking us off a few at a time, with different devices, and the sudden interest in an institution that ended almost 140 years ago, is just one more example of the technique.

For more on this particular aspect, see Creating Hate In America Today.

MurryMom still lives?

I'd have thought that by now she'd have walked in front of a bus or tried to wash her toaster while it was still plugged in, or something like that.
