Top House Democrat Charlie Rangel said this week that President Bush had committed an "impeachable offense" by trying to destroy the Social Security retirement system, calling Bush's reform plan "a fraud."

Uh, yeah, sure. Politicians from both parties have spent every red cent of the Social Security surplus. Bush is willing to admit that the trust fund is worthless. Rangel says otherwise. But Bush is the one committting fraud.

The worst thing is that to "fix" SS, they're talking about raising more money. And that additional money will go straight into the general fund, and they will issue even more worthless "T-Bills" in return. And there will just be more "I-Owe-Me-s" which are debits against future revenues!

Raising more money now will just raise the debt level in the future! Why can't people see this?!?!?!

That's the glory of the private accounts. The deathrats keep screeching that it will be debt. The truth is it will soak up the current excess of funds paid in over funds paid out so that in the end the payers will get the money and the United States Spenders in Congress won't. THAT'S what angers them so.
