Donald R. Young, a Denver Police detective was killed when he was shot in the back early Sunday morning, according to police. Detective John H. Bishop also was shot, but he has been treated and released from Denver Health Medical Center. Detective Bishop was wearing a bulletproof vest, which may have saved his life. It's unclear at this time if Detective Young was wearing a vest."
