Cochise County Government Targets Bible College for Renting to Minuteman Project Volunteers

MMP Director Jim Gilchrist has been informed that James E. Vlahovich, Director, Cochise County Planning Department has levied a fine of $750.00 per day on the The Miracle Valley Bible College in Hereford, Arizona for renting dorm rooms and campground lots to the Minuteman Project.

Isn't it bad enough that we have MALDEF, the ACLU (who are inciting problems daily), Vicente Fox, the Mayor of Douglas, Jorge Bush, Derechos Humanos, Hoover and his water barrels, anti-American politicians, the Cochise CountyBoard of Supervisors and all the rest harassing the Minuteman Project. Please overwhelm Vlahovich with your protests.

Please do two things:
1) Please contact James E. Vlahovich and share your fury with this arbitrary action against Americans exercising their First Amendment rights and the rights of Property Owners to do with their property as they please.

2) Send this message to everyone you know!

This is an egregious abuse of power. The Bible College is simply renting dorm rooms and campground spaces to the MMP volunteers. If these volunteers were in the area to sit in their lawnchairs with their binoculars to observe the desert birds (and not the hordes of criminal invaders) and then call each other on their cell phones to talk about it, do you think that the Cochise County government would be fining the Bible Collect for housing them!? Neither do I.

Are they renting to the Minuteman Project or to the individuals? I see no problem if it's to the individuals, the school can do as they please. Not even sure if it'd be wrong to rent to the MMP, unless it violates some nonprofit law the school might break. But that's none of the County Govt's business, it seems.

Just posted this on another thread asking you if you knew anything about it. Guess you do LOL.
Is there anything else we can do?

Either they can rent dorm rooms and camping lots to people, or they can't. Who the campers are working for doesn't enter into it. Sounds like someone is unhappy his nanny might charge more if the MMP succeed.

You can bet your xxx that if it was "sheltering" illegals, they'd get an award from the ACLU etc etc .Just Damn!

Planning Dept.-- He is probably saying the college is not zoned for hospitality. Just for dorms for its own students and occasional visitors who are not charged.

I hope the school was collecting hotels tax, if there is one. Governments have so many hammers to hit people with.

I have a feeling that if they were simply holding a bird-watchers convention, there would be no trouble from the local government. If it were a Planned Parenthood or ACLU convention, I have a feeling there would be no trouble, either.

In other words, Cochise County has done more to stop MMP than they have to stop illegals.

Take names.

Colleges (including tax-supported institutions) rent out rooms all over the US to all kinds of organizations all the time. This is a constitutional issue. Jay Sekulow will be arriving soon.

Perhaps if the school offered some free or almost free class to the MMP they would then be students thus creating a loophole around this BS?

Well, they might as well make Bin Laddie Gov. of Ariz. It wouldn't be much sorrier, would it?

Or free rooms and the MM could then make a tax deducable donation to make up the difference.

If this Bible College is a private school (doesn't recieve state funds, which, I'd be suprised if a BIBLE College recieved state funds) then they should be able to do whatever they please with their OWN LAND!

What the EFF is going on down there? Criminy if there was any way I could be involved in this MMP I'd be down there in a heartbeat.

Director, James E. Vlahovich, Director

Anyone so vain that they have to list themselves as Director twice, is probably pretty easy to find in the white pages.

[translate]Ese! Jimme Vlaho has food, a bed, and money for you and your friends, and here's how to get there...[/translate]

YES.

IS it a private school? If it IS private, then the school should tell that vlahorich to go pound sand OR illegals OR whatever blows his skirt up.

Methinks that cretin needs a little FReeper investigation.

They rent the rooms to students. What's wrong with renting them to the "Undocumented Border Patrol Agents"?
