Now, imagine these skeletons as living human beings in the last moments of their lives about to be slaughtered by Saddam's death squads -- men, women, and little children completely helpless and in mortal terror of their executions to come and those they were already witnessing while the world turned their backs.
Imagine also the international profiteers of the 'Oil for Food' program that kept this murderous tyrant in power while lining their own pockets with blood gold.
As long as there is an America with faithful allies, let us always have a military capability that can blow the forces of tyrants like these to Hell and gone.
We're on the right side of history. To Hell with the rest.
I fully agree. Our nation has it's purpose. It's now time to lead and bring the bounty of freedom to the world.
I did stop for a moment, and I thank you for a very realistic check on the horrors of the Saddam regime.
I wish everyone in the whole world would read your post!!
We forget, as you remind us, that these were real people , living real lives, and slaughtered by this inhumane dictator!

That, my FRiend, was the most beautiful thing I've read in a long time. Thank you for expressing what I'd have liked to shout from the rooftops for at least the past three years.
Good point. It is just so easy to see an uncomprehensible number like 300,000 dead, shake our heads in amazement, and move on.
These were human beings with thoughts, emotions, feelings and people who loved them and now miss them.
Tell us again, our little liberal friends, how wrong we were to go into Iraq. Thing is, I don't think this, and all the other graves found, would make any difference to these people.
. . .and lastly. . .don't forget CNN deciding to NOT report atrocities; lest it jeopardize their presence. . .
Wonder if they picked up some incentives along the way. . .or was it just their loyal 'anti-Americanism'; that helped keep their lips sealed.
