Bush calls up the "I here to protect America" line when it's convenient for him to do so. When it's not good for his or his circle's rear-end, he drops it like a hot potato(e). The same for the "I'm here for smaller government", line, etc. etc.
If it was good for his rear-end to stand on one toe and spit wooden nickles out his ass while signing welfare checks, he'd do that. Luckily, he's convinced on some issues that it's good for him to be a conservative. A few years ago he thought it was good to be a socialist on many issues, when he was in his let's-creat-a-bureaucracy-a-day mode. Thank God that's subsided a bit.
This is the nature of a blue-blooded Rockafeller and always has been. I don't know why anyone would ever expect anything different.
"This is the nature of a blue-blooded Rockafeller and always has been."
Needs repeating over and over until the bots get it!
