Jews tend to vote disproportionate to their numbers in the population. In New York and Florida, two states where I have spent 98% of my life, Jews have the highest voter turnout of any ethnic group. The Jewish vote is all but crucial in places like Florida, New York, New Jersey, and California.
thank you...approx. 1/4 of the Jewish population lives in NY.

as of 4/2001 there were approx.:
1.6 million Jews in NY - NY went for kerry by 1.3 million
620k in Florida - Fl went for Bush by 380k
420k in New Jersey - NJ went for kerry by 240k
999k in California - CA. went for kerry by 1.2 million
149k in Ohio - OH went for Bush by 111k
I do not know how many of them are of voting age.
I still don't see their significance as a voting bloc in national elections.
