Brit had John Fund on FOX discussing this. Good man, made excellent points, esp about privacy issues and the need to keep the Fed out of state business.
What we need is:
1) Transparent and open electronic voting, with a paper trail (yes DUmmies, we actually agree on this one)
2) Some type of voter ID system that prevents or at least minimizes voter fraud.
A paper trail causes its own problems. What if the paper trail numbers disagree with the electronic numbers? If the paper number wins, there will be democrats desparately manufacturing paper trails in close elections. If the paper number does not win, why bother, it just gives rats something to whine about after they have faked a paper trail.
The reason the DUmmies want a paper trail is to enable their reps to be able to engage in such shenanigans. It is no coincidence that, in 2002, in precincts where there was machine recorded voting, Republicans did better than the exit polls while in precincts where the rats could still jimmy things up, we didn't. Don't give them wiggle room.
