He did it to mess with Hal Lindsay's head.

From the little I've seen, that wouldn't take much.

No idea. But you are welcome in the Catholic Church.

Thanks Ivan.

It's looking better every day.

Where exactly is that center? I visited what I consider to be the "spiritual centre" of England, which is Our Lady's Shrine at Walsingham a few months ago in September 2004.

Oh, it is a bit more convoluted than that.

When the teachers are the ones not only failing to live it out, but causing - nay, forcing - their students to deviate from the teaching, it is a bit more complicated than "ignoring your teacher's instructions."

"9. The Glory of the Olive. The Order of St. Benedict has said this Pope will come from their order. It is interesting that Jesus gave his apocalyptic prophecy about the end of time from the Mount of Olives. This Pope will reign during the beginning of the tribulation Jesus spoke of. The 111th prophesy is "Gloria Olivae" (The Glory of the Olive). The Order of Saint Benedict has claimed that this pope will come from their ranks. Saint Benedict himself prophesied that before the end of the world his Order, known also as the Olivetans, will triumphantly lead the Catholic Church in its fight against evil.

Also, Romans 11:13-27 mentions the natural olive tree branches (Israel) being grafted into their own tree.

He should be a powerful Church leader in the midst of remarkable times...

It's no wonder that the Left is chewing the carpet at this point.

On this side of the pond, carpet muncher is slang for lesbian.

Teachings aren't always followed by humans. The Church has been around much longer than those jokers.

Thanks! There is an Anne Arundel County in Maryland, which was founded as a colony where Catholics could have religious freedom.

By "jokers," I presume you are referring to all of those high officials in the Church who doled out tickle slaps on the wrist to those who enable pedophiliac priests by sweeping their crimes under the rug? Including Santo Subito himself?

It is truly amazing to watch liberals react to this pope.

Just in my office, I have heard him called every name in the book including "nazi." There is no tolerance on the left.

I'm not so sure the cry is for God, but rather a cry for understanding. Seems that once something is proven, whether secular or spiritual, something comes along from the other realm to disprove it. Life and the world of theology is confusing. I was listening to a religious talk show last night. The program was discussing how were created in God's image. To me an image is me. When I look in a mirror, I see my image, for better or worse. So, if I was created in God's image, how could I be imperfect and sin when in fact He is perfect? I should be just like the mirror of me when I am an image of him.

I read a chapter in Corintians that mentioned that liars, adulters and others who sin will not inherit the kingdom. Yet many evangelical churches say that salvation cannot be lost by sinning. Yet clearly the scripture is in conflict with the church on that one.

Just some ramblings of someone trying to make heads and tails of all this.
