This will be interesting. He could be a peacemaker of sorts within the Church if he unites the opposing elements. Ratzinger is the most likely to revert to Tradition. If so, a prophecy could be fulfilled if AmChurch schisms under Ratzinger's crackdowns. The challenge for the Church in America is grave.

I am cautiously optimistic. Chris Ferrara in Rome reported a conclave battle between the Ratzinger and Tettamanzi factions. He was right. I am relieved he won.

That's a good way to describe how I feel too! He isn't a Traditionalist, but he certainly has proven to be the friend of Traditionalists on many occasions.

At least we now have a Pope who has celebrated the Tridentine Mass recently!
