Neither of you understand how Indian Reservations work. The U.S. government steps in on certain crimes, like murder. Even though Indian Nations are sovereign, they are not completely independent of Federal Laws. A murder on a reservation can get the FBI just as well as any other murder in the US. I'm not saying that Bush should have said anything about this crime, just pointing out a fact. By the way, some fish and game laws apply too, especially with endangered species. For instance on our reservation we cannot kill or harass seals or sea lions, and we have to have special permission and papers to own eagle feathers.

I actually do understand the relationship of Indian Nations and the US....I was just over simplifying it, and found it amusing because if the President had stuck his nose in it, people would be accusing him of meddling with autonomous countries. So you're an Indian? That's awesome. We see people from all nationalities here at FR but you're the first I've known of from a Indian Nation.
