Wonder how long he'll last in Rykers or wherever.

Okay, Law and Order fans, once again. Riker's Island is the site of New York City's jail, where people awaiting trial or convicted of minor crimes are held. The state prison system is mostly upstate, notably Ossining on the Hudson ("up the river"), called "Sing-Sing" for short.

I didn't take my state pen edumacation from Law and Order, since I lived in the NYC area for about 25 years, and heard news concerning Rykers from Roger Grimsby. Usually followed by beat reporter, the ageless Gloria Rojas. Sports with Warner Wolf (BOOM). And weather with Storm Field!

You will notice that I wrote "or wherever" because I am not totally familiar with the NY State system of correctional facilities (never felt the need). I guess I could have written Attica (NY State) too but I didn't want anyone to pounce on me for being a fan of Dog Day Afternoon.

"Attica! Attica! Attica!" Al Pacino stirring up the crowd outside the bank.
