Chafee says he's glad for more time to review Bolton

Senator Lincoln Chafee says he's pleased that the vote on the U-N ambassador has been delayed.

Chafee had been prepared to support John Bolton, President Bush's provocative choice.

But later, Chafee said the dynamic had changed and he was glad for the additional time to review the nominee.

The decision to delay the vote closed a rancorous session of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in which Republicans first sought to push Bolton through the committee and Democrats resisted.

Bolton is a harsh critic of the U-N's bureaucracy and thus was a provocative choice to be the administration's representative to the world body.

This is why I am very leery of nominating a SENATOR for president! They are a bunch of selfish egotistical wimpy morons!

Lincoln Chafee said that he initially meant to vote for Bolton. But then he got some phone calls, went into the Rest Room, looked down and his gnads had shriveled to the size of a couple of BB's. It seems to be a big problem in the Senate these days, Shriveling Gnads.

Maybe we should send him some oversized ladies underwear and ask him if he forgot to put his on today!

Translation: If Voinovich is getting something from the White House to get Bolton confirmed, I want something too.

Maybe the US should immediately stop all funding of the UN and all programs associated with the UN, cease all business at the UN and pull all our people out until Bolton is comfirmed. That would make everyone sit up. The UN can't last a day without Americas money and imput.

'Bout time these RINOs are threatened with more than being crossed off the White House Christmas Card list.

Yeah, 'cause Congressmen have so much time and so little else to do than 'review' false accusations from liberal hacks.

What a bunch of spineless, gutless wonders! This is EXACTLY why I drop Republican fund-raiser request letters right in the wastebasket without responding to them. This is EXACTLY why I changed my registration to Libertarian.

Because a few RINOs may defect on any given issue we should just give up on the Republican Party in total, right? Don't give to them because of the uncertainty as to whether they will disappoint us or not. In fact if every Republican Senator does not agree with me on every single issue I know that's a lost cause. On the other hand, we can give to the Libertarian Party and have 100% certainty of how effective they will be in providing conservative governance.

This is why the President must get back on the job in Washington and quit the SS push. His party if ineffective and falling apart.
