"We just don't have anything to combat it, and Lugar is furious that the White House is letting this happen without any vocal defense from administration people. They are making the chairman look weak and indecisive."

Dear Mr. Stupid Staffer: It's called ADVISE and CONSENT; he nominates; your job, if you had the brains to know it, is to get the nomination to the floor of the Senate.

This "leak" from the FR staffer is nothing but trying to cover Lugar's butt because he looked like he had been caught on Candid Camera yesterday.

I will say it again: he HAD the votes at 3:30; he HAD the votes at 4:00; he HAD the votes at 4:30.

He had the gavel. All he had to do was CALL THE VOTE.

Lugar does very well by himself looking that way.
He doesn't need help.

As a matter of fact, just about every dem has had "incidents" where they have yelled at subordinates. Let's make these a little public.

Ummm .. Did you watch Joe Biden's behavior at the committee meeting??

He sounded like a Raving Lunatic!!

LOL, Lugar always looks like he's on "Candid Camera" I doubt if there has been a weaker chairman of any Committee than Lugar. At the start of the meeting i thought Lugar had actually grown a pair, but when he started fidgeting and acting like he was in a Coma while Joe (Jack-In-The-Box) Biden was citing every left wing kook MoveOn.org could muster for these bogus allegations against Bolton, I knew we were in for a stalemate.

By allowing Biden and Dodd to carefully read their scripted remarks from "Code Pink's" Manifesto, I knew the "Invertebrates" on that Committee would buckle. My God, after all, Voinovich, Hagel and Lincoln Chafee are on that Committee. That's like hunting in a baited field :-)

A good friend of mine for 40 years has come forward with some new allegations. Here is his letter to Joe Biden: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Dear Senate Committee on Bush nominees....

In 1995 I was a handyman at the Motel Six in Amarillo Texas. I remember it like it was yesterday.

I was changing a lightbulb when a nice looking black woman named Rice chased me down the hall with a ball-peen hammer. She was shouting and screaming and I was scared out of my wits. Imagine my surprise to learn this "lady " is Condoleeza Rice and she is now Secretary of State.

A month later in the storage shed out back, a man whose name I knew only as "John" threw a mattress pad over my head and choked me till I passed out. Friends later identified him as John Ashcroft. Every day for six weeks he would show up and tell me I was fat. I was humiliated.

About the time I was getting over this Tom Ridge tried to set fire to my '67 Chevy Nova.

I could go on and on. Obviously the Bush administration cares nothing about these people's morals or integrity. Bush has placed these "lowlifes" in the highest position of authority in our nation's capitol.

I humbly ask you to investigate these events. I have been distraught for years by these episodes

Respectively yours

M.P.Strunck (handyman)

LOL, the sad fact is.... The baseless accusations currently being floated by the RATS are no more believable than your parody piece. I'm waiting for Michael Jackson's Lawyer to claim John Bolton is who molested those children at Jackson's "Never Never Land"

From 2001:

The Most Dangerous Man at State
John Bolton and arms control.

December 18, 2001 12:20 p.m.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Reprinted with permission of The Wall Street Journal © 2001 Dow Jones & Company, Inc.

Sen. Joe Biden (D., Dela.) paid John Bolton a compliment during the fight over his confirmation as undersecretary of state for arms control and international security last spring. "This is not about your competence," Mr. Biden told the former Reagan and Bush official. "My problem with you over the years is that you've been too competent. I mean, I would rather you be stupid and not very effective."

Of course, the Bush administration is stacked with high-powered critics of arms control. But what makes Mr. Bolton seem dangerous to the likes of Mr. Biden is that he's at the State Department, Washington's principal redoubt of arms-control orthodoxy. Mr. Bolton's mere presence at Foggy Bottom risks heresy, which is why even more Democrats opposed his confirmation (43) than voted against John Ashcroft. At the moment, Democrats could be forgiven for believing that their worst fears have been realized.

Not if we win a few more seats in '06, Voinovich will either tow the line or be sidelined

-------------------------------------------------------

You assume that Bush actually WANTS Bolton and wont HELP these rinos get reelected. I have two words for anyone who still doesnt get it (Bush is a rino that is) PAT TOOMEY !

If you think that Bush actually will do ANYTHING except appease and roll over for the RINOs, you are profoundly delusional.

This whole UN mess is a prelude to the Supreme Court BETRAYAL that we can be SURE of from BUSH. Oh sure he will first Nominate "Bork-Scalia" types, but then leave them at the mercy of the RINOs and play like he "tried" and then nominate "Suder-O'Conor" types. And any Bushbot Cultists can just put a sock in it and I will give you the regretable "Told You So" in advance.

Bush is far closer to Hillary than he is Reagan and dont delude yourselves otherwise in the face of continued evidence.

Don't hold your breath... What we are seeing here is "Theatrics".

What puzzles me is..... why are the RATS opposing Bolton so fiercely?

My only conclusion is that they are very worried about what Bolton might uncover in all these scandals currently being investigated in the UN as we speak.

We already know that "Presidential Pardon Recipient" Frank Rich has been named as one of those involved in the Oil for Food scandal. I can't help but wonder how many other FOB's (Friends of Bill's) are involved in these scandals. We are now finally hearing that Iraq did play a role in the OKC bombing. Ramsey Yousef was contacted many times by Terry Nichols.

I truly believe that the RATS are very worried about what John Bolton knows
