Glocks will not "go off" when dropped....even with a round in the chamber.

True, but will if someone grabs for it on the way down and engages the trigger.

...and the second bullet?

With a crappy grip, it wouldn't surprise me he let two go while 'grabbing'.

The former Chief of police in my hometown was hired a few years ago from a Department in Oklahoma. He was a miserable failure for morale in our dept, but far worse he was a gun safety nightmare. Here's a guy who managed to shoot the toilet in his private office bathroom then, a month or so later was getting dressed after a workout at a local gym where he had presumably left his "off duty" Glock (what does a chief of police need to carry a gun for when he sits at a desk surrounded by cops all day long--especially if he's anti-citizen CCW?) in a locked gymlocker. When he was getting redressed and in the process of reholstering he capped off two rounds of .40 into the aforementioned locker. The locker died instantly. After he subsequently resigned (he was hemmoraging from other troubles) it was discovered he had had unintentional discharges at his previous job, too. Here's the kicker: After he resigned he was subsequently rehired by the city as a consultant at four times his chief's salary. No justice.

Keep your finger out of the trigger well and your weapon
will not discharge...

And that riot sparked me to compose a little song about it.

One block over the Rhine. (to the tune of "One toke over the line", by brewer and Shipley.)The chorous went like this::

One block over the Rhine, poor Damon, one block over the Rhine,

Drivin'round town with their Smith and Wessons, one block over the Rhine.

Dont ya' know they'll be waitin' for those banks to open up tomorrow, so that they can rom 'em on time, Drivin'round town with their moth and Wessons, one block over the Rhine.

That's true, but if you "fumble for a falling firearm", and it's a Glock, it will go off if you grab it by the trigger. This is not true with guns with real safeties, like the 1911 type, or my EAA Witness for that matter, UNLESS, the safety is off.
