MEDFORD, Mass. -- Several teenagers were arraigned in a Somerville courtroom Thursday after allegedly attacking a group of police officers at a local carnival Wednesday night. Medford police were called to a teen disturbance at a carnival and soon found themselves fighting for their lives. Even when backup arrived, the officers were outnumbered. The teens allegedly punched, kicked and hit the officers with their own nightsticks.

"Just messin'", right?

I hope the hammer, anvil, thunder and lightning come down on these vermin.

Throw the book at these future MS-13 types and crush the problem early on. In the liberal People's Republic of Taxachusetts, it is unlikely that these criminals will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and Justice may not be served, unfortunately.

And, no, I am not generally in favor of any "juvenile" distinctions in the law. If a parvenus commits a truly capital offense, firing squad.

Take it with a pound of salt, it's from a cop site. You'd think they'd be embarrassed to post a story like that. where a rowdy group of teenagers roughs up a few cops. Of course it was wrong for the rowdies to do that and it will land them in deep, deep trouble. (Far deeper than anything that would result were the victim you or I.) But it makes the kopz involved look like feckless dweebs.

Looking at it tactically, it is very possible and probable that, in some situations, the police can be easily outnumbered.

Think about it like a mini version of the MOG.

It can't be, blue states are filled with gentle, loving people, at least that is what I've always heard.

I suppose these "playful" teens think that they are immune from any real trouble--even if they would have killed an officer. I wonder why, justices?

I always like a good ending to a story.

Even when backup arrived, the officers were outnumbered. The teens allegedly punched, kicked and hit the officers with their own nightsticks. "At one time, some of the individuals who were involved ripped a baton off the belt of one of the officers. The officers, through their training, covered their guns to make sure nobody could get access to their guns," said Glynn. Five teens, including Calvin Belfin, 18, and Isaiah Anderson, 17, both of Somerville, were arraigned on charges of assault and battery and assault and battery on a police officer.

Calvin and Isaiah or any of the other thugs cannot be blamed. It is no doubt the fault of (fill in the blank).

The great thing is that most of that gang will probably reproduce like rabbits. This kind of gang thuggery also creates more probability that a few good kids may get profiled, and who could blame the cops whose butts (and lives) are on the line. It is just human nature to do so. Too bad the thugs will get off easy and will not be made an example of.
