NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Spirit is taking movies of dust devils -- whirlwinds carrying dust -- scooting across a plain on Mars.

When I go to the JPL page, there are only GIF files there, no video files-- even the links under "movie clip" are GIFs. Why would that be? Heavy traffic?

Thanks for the info about animated gif files. I didn't know they existed, and my computer didn't either, apparently, because they rendered as a still-GIF. I'll try again.
