Arizona is the only state to defy the "government edict" so far. Maybe other states should consider defiance. This is hideous. Get outa my clock, Big Brother!

Arizona is right. They long ago realize the extra hour of daylight would burn the crops and upset the chickens egg laying schedule.

It's anti-productive...

Indiana does not participate either. My grandmother used to live there and I could never figure out what time it was. I don't think Hawaii does either.

"Maybe other states should consider defiance."

The Navajo reservation goes w/DST but most of Indiana does not.

RE: AZ as the only state ignoring DST (FYI): Arizona and Hawaii and the territories of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa are the only places in the U.S. that do not observe DST but instead stay on "standard time" all year long. And if you've spent any time in the sweltering summer sun in those regions you can understand why residents don't need another hour of sunlight.

Me? I hate "springing forward" - its hard enough to get the kids out of bed without making it an hour earlier. Luckily that's my wife's job! ;-)
