I recently suggested to Chris Satullo, the Inquirer's editorial page editor, that he may be able to organize a club to help biased journalists and pattern it after Alcoholics Anonymous. It appeared that he went on the wagon for a week. He even chastised his beloved Democrats for their actions on the Social Security issue. He was very reasonable and simply asked that they offer their own plan or solution to the problem.
Then bang! On Sunday April 10, he had a Funky Winkerbean moment and fell noisily off the bias wagon. Tony Auth produced a hateful editorial-page cartoon lampooning John Bolton, our ambassador delegate to the United Nations. Auth is not alone. Bolton is also being heatedly resisted by Kim Jong-il, Robert Mugabe, al-Zawahiri, some European intellects, John Kerry, Barbara Boxer and most other liberal Democrats.
But the Democratic Party supported by Satullo and his minions thinks he shouldn't be permitted to continue to serve President Bush. The left-wing, liberal offensive on Bolton has been shameful. Explain to Tony Auth that Kofi Annan is doing a lousy job as a secretary general of the U.N., a corrupt organization that is doing more harm than good. We desperately need a tough guy like John Bolton in there, Chris. Also talk to Inquirer Managing Editor Anne Gordon who served as Colorado Democratic Party communication director during Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign. Ask her to read the Off The Internet item at the end of this column and tell her Americans are proud of our troops and she should support them. And in that regard make this tip number 9 of 21. Expose the corruption in the U.N. Readers may remember that the Inquirer ran 21 obtuse editorials on why to vote for John F. Kerry before the presidential election.

The letter from the Soldier quoted in the link is AWESOME. Wonder if Marc Fencil, the "...senior who is also a Marine currently stationed in Iraq...." could be a FReeper. He's sure got the RIGHT STUFF!
Thank you Marc, hope you see this, you're an Honorary FReeper!
You are so right that is a great letter.
"I'm warning you though -- it's not going to be all fun and games over here. You might have bad dreams for the next several nights after you zip up the body bag over a friend's disfigured face. I know you think that nothing, even a world free of terror for one's children, is worth dying for, but bear with me here. We're going to live in conditions you've never dreamt about. You should get here soon though, because the temperatures are going to be over 130 degrees very soon and we will be carrying full combat loads (we're still going to work though). When it's all over, I promise you can go back to your coffee houses and preach about social justice and peace while you continue to live outside of reality.
If you decide to decline my offer, then at least you should sleep well tonight knowing that men wearing black facemasks and carrying AK-47s yelling "Allahu Akbar" over here are proud of you and are forever indebted to you for advancing their cause of terror. While you ponder this, I'll get back to the real 'die-in' over here. I don't mind. What can we say but 'Semper fi'?"
