Re #20
Then we may call it "The Super-inflated Slickmeister." That will work.

Since the plant exists and is blossoming on taxpayer penny, that alone would make it a liberal plant. Shape and stench come as additional evidence.

Wasn't this flower the focus of one of the Dennis the Menace movies? No, I think that was some other flower that bloomed once a year and at night.
If I am not mistaken I think this smelly flower blooms once in 100 years. There recently was a program on T.V. about a flower that smelled but the flower grew some enormous amount of feet. The greenhouse roof had to be removed to accomodate its growth.

We have these gere at Virginia Tech. They don't smell that bad. No worse than your average dorm.

This reminds me of Mr. Wilson's plant in the Dennis the Menace movie.

At UC Davis, near Sacramento, there are a few of these flowers. I was around for the blooming of the first, and waited in a long line to see (and smell it). Sadly, I no longer live in the area.
The third one is about to bloom, I think. It's worth seeing if you live around there.

IIRC, the episode involved a night blooming flower and Dennis distracted Mr. Wilson just before the flower opened.

Wasn't this part of a Simsons plot? Yes. I don't remember the title or number, but Moe was about to jump off a bridge when he suddenly found a cute little bundle of joy (Maggie) in his arms which changed his outlook on life.

It rare because in the past people were smart enough to destroy the stinky things.

Done and done! Be warned . . . the ping volume is high but sporadic.
