frankly I suspect both parties have used the IRS to get revenge or silence people

it is standard operating procedure for the powerful

though it looks like there is concrete proof this time

um, might I add there seems to be something very wrong when the people being investigated control the funding for the investigation, how did that happen?

yes I understand the government controls the general budgets of the investigating arms of government but how it is they control the budget of one specific investigation, that's not kosher....someone needs to change that rule

Nope: Find ANY example of a democrat "allie" being audited: Even the (known) abused by Jackson's (multiplely-identically-named) for-profit and not-for-profit organizations (when specifically called for an audit) have been ignored by the IRS.

But, when the Clintons were president, dozens of conservative groups, and hundreds of conservative individuals (including myself) were targeted by the IRS.

Frankly, - remember 'file gate" - That was a real crime of major proportions - only one in a long list that the clintooones get a pass on. Remember file gate - the illegal request for FBI files - that the FBI illegally granted? - Files on republican personnel and pols?

I'm not alone in remembering that and in wondering if blackmail isn't one of the reasons so many of the pubs have seemed spineless over the years...below is link to one FBI agents report on that:

It's real good reading...but will turn your stomach

We all know that Nixon used the IRS and there has also been some complaints about the IRS investigation of the NAACP's tax exempt status. Personally I think that is justified, but look for the complaints to be renewed in light of the evidence against the Clintons. Let's hope that the complaint also mentions the churches who lost their tax exempt status for opposing the Clintons.
