From the Rathskeller's website:

END OF AN ERA! Rolling Rock, owned by Labatt's, has stopped making our popular pony bottles....we have only several hundred cases to sell!! Send a message to Labatt's and let them know just how much they suck!

NOOOOO!!!! Not the PONIES!!!!!

ME and my freinds did a case every Thursday afetr lab at the Rathskeller!! We even bought the fifty cent bottle openers every time (we must have had a hundred of them).

On a related note:
I want to go back!! I want to go back to Happy Valley, I want to run in the Phi Psi again (the single most fun day of my entire life). I want to drink beer at the 'skeller and have sticky buns at what ever the Old College Diner calls itself these days! It's tough out here. I want to go back!

Our favorite trick was to tap a bud's bottle top with another bottle. If done just right, the whole bottle would promptly foam out onto the table. What fun!

Grilled stickies are still there, but no more Phi Psi. After the University pressured them into doing it without the drinking, it dies a quick death. Same thing happened to the Regatta - no beer followed by no interest. Gentle Thursday lives on though...

When'd Labatts buy Latrobe (the orginators of RR)?

ff (who had a Labatts Blue at the Reading Phillies the other night - did nothing to warm me up in 45 degree cold)

The owner was one of the Singer's Midgets that played the Munchkins in the Wizard of OZ

Was he still representing the Lollipop Guild?

7 oz bottles? Who cares? Here's how a real man gets a 7 oz serving of beer:

This is a travesty. With so many people in town this weekend for the Blue-White Game, I'd bet their stock is close to zero.

Is there a Penn State ping list? If so, add me, please.

That is a tragedy. When I ran in the Phi Psi, it was the event of the year. There is something about being in a town occupied by 50,000 people with the lowest BAL of the bunch being about a .20.

When I ran it with the Nittany Divers (costumed as Bearded Clams), we started at 10:15 AM and finished the grueling 1 1/2 mile course about 4:30 PM. But it wasn't the drinking, it was the costumes. The first time I saw Phi Psi, I sat there laughing non-stop for nine hours. That day stands as the most fun I have ever had. What a shame the event was judged un-PC.
